Rhodri Rees is a Senior Partner and specialises in Commercial Property and Business and Commercial work. He is also responsible for the residential property work undertaken in all three offices and is the Conveyancing Quality Scheme Senior Responsible Officer.
Melanie Pratlett qualified as a solicitor in 1988 and has been with Adams Harrison since 1993 becoming a partner in 1996. She specialises in the Wills Estates and Trust areas of the practice and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Melanie Pratlett is our Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP).
Shoshana Goldhill heads up our family team and specialises in children’s issues and matrimonial finance and matrimonial property disputes. She is an Accredited Specialist with Resolution (Solicitors Family Law Association) and a Collaborative Lawyer and Mediator.
Shoshana Goldhill is also the person responsible for the quality of all the services we provide to clients, and the person who will deal with any complaints.
Jennifer Carpenter became Managing Partner of the firm in January 2014. She was appointed as a Partner in January 2005, having qualified as a solicitor in 2000 after completing her training with the firm. She specialises in Employment, property dispute litigation and contentious probate. She has extensive experience of undertaking advocacy in the Magistrates Court, County Court and Employment Tribunals. Jennifer is also our Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration (COFA)
Frances Walker specialises in Family Law. Frances qualified in 2005 and joined the practice in March 2009. Frances is an Accredited Specialist with Resolution and has a wealth of experience in divorce and other family related matters.
Tracy is our most recently appointed Partner (February 2016). Tracy qualified as a solicitor in 1988 and has worked in Haverhill Cambridge and Ely as a Conveyancing Solicitor. She joined Adams Harrison in July 2014 to complement Haverhill’s busy residential department. Tracy brings a friendly yet professional approach to her role.
Tracy Spilsbury is our Money Laundering Officer (MLRO).
Wills and Probate
Christine has 32 years experience in the law but has specialised in Wills and Probate for the last 18 years having gained a Specialist Paralegal Diploma in April 2000. Christine is based at our Sawston office.
Hayley joined Adams Harrison in 2013 as a Solicitor in the Private Client department. She obtained a Master’s degree from the University of Cambridge before completing her Graduate Diploma in Law at BPP Law School and the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, London.
Hayley specialises in preparing Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, registering Enduring Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection work and administering estates. Hayley is based in our Saffron Walden office but is available to see clients at our other offices.
Hayley is currently studying for the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates.
Leanne joined Adams Harrison after her A Levels in 2002, initially as an office junior/receptionist before working her way up to a secretary and then becoming a PA to the Head of the Department in the Wills, Estates and Trust Department. She has since qualified as a Graduate Legal Executive in April 2013 and was granted a Fellowship in June 2015.
She specialises in the preparation of Wills and administration of estates and can deal with various aspects of Powers of Attorney and Deputyship Order applications.
Winner of the Cambridgeshire and District Law Society Trainee Lawyer of the Year Award 2015.
Sarah joined the firm in 1995 as a trainee legal executive working within the Probate department. She carried out her training and examinations whilst working full time and gained fellowship to the Institute of Legal Executives (now Chartered Institute of Legal Executives) in 2002.
Cathy Buck is a Legal Executive specialising in residential property work at our Haverhill office.
She joined the firm in 1993 as a trainee Legal Executive. She completed her ILEX Part 1 at Cambridge Regional College in 1995, her ILEX Part II at Chelmsford College and became a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1999 (now Chartered Institute of Legal Executives)
Lisa joined Adams Harrison in May 2014 as a solicitor in the Conveyancing department. She obtained her law degree from Keele University in 2009 and completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Guildford in 2011. Lisa specialises in residential property work and has particular experience of transactions in and around Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire. Lisa is based at the Sawston office.
Richard has enjoyed a varied career since his qualification as a solicitor in 1979 but since 2000 has specialised in residential property work. He celebrated Christmas 2014 by becoming a permanent member of the Saffron Walden conveyancing team. Clients value his accessibility and appreciate his common-sense approach to the stresses and strains of the house moving process.
Jack qualified as a solicitor in 2016 and joins the Saffron Walden office as a member of the conveyancing team. He completed both his degree and Legal Practice Course in London and moved back shortly afterwards to begin training in Ipswich. Jack specialises in residential property work and prides himself on his approachability and client orientated service which he feels is key during what can be a stressful and testing process.
Whitney joined Adams Harrison as a solicitor in March of 2016. Whitney earned her Juris Doctorate and qualified as an attorney in the United States in 2008. Since that time she has enjoyed a diverse career in the legal field, has qualified as an English solicitor, and is now specialising in residential property law. Whitney is based at our Sawston office.
Richard is the most recent member of staff to join the property team, based at our Saffron Walden office. He qualified as a solicitor in 2000 and has worked in the local area for the last 11 years following a career break spent travelling. Richard has considerable experience in dealing with all aspects of property work and has a personable and client focussed approach.
Matt joined us straight from University in July 2015 after obtaining his LLB Law Degree at the University of York. Matt passed his Legal Practice Post Graduate course with distinction a in Summer 2017 and is now a trainee solicitor with the firm. Matt is currently based at our Saffron Walden assisting Richard Booth with property work, and Jennifer Carpenter with litigation.
Rebecca Dedman qualified as a Solicitor in 2003 obtaining an LLB Law (Hons) Degree concentrating on family law from the outset. She became a member of the Law Society Children Panel in 2007 and specialises in representing parents and children in court. Rebecca has extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of cases involving children. Rebecca joined Adams Harrison in March 2012.
Rebecca qualified as a Solicitor in 2014, having trained in Family and Children law. Rebecca specialises in Children Law issues, both private law, ranging from contact arrangements to adoption, and care law, representing parents and grandparents.
She has considerable experience with Injunction cases, as well as Divorce and Financial Matters. Rebecca is based in our Saffron Walden Office.
Whilst studying for her LLB she focussed on Family Law and Fertility Law issues and went on to undertake an apprenticeship at the first Fertility Law firm in the UK.
Emma joined Adams Harrison in 2006 after finishing her A levels and began working for the Head of the Family Department in early 2007. Whilst working in the Family Department Emma began studying to become a Legal Executive and qualified as a Graduate Legal Executive in August 2013. Emma is based in our Saffron Walden office in the Family Department.
Kerri joined Adams Harrison in 2003 as an office junior/accounts assistant. She worked her way up to a Legal Secretary and then became a Personal Assistant in the Family Department. Whilst working in the Family Department Kerri began studying to become a Legal Executive. Kerri left the practice for a short while to start her family and returned to the practice, having finalized her studies and qualified as a Graduate Legal Executive, in April 2015. Kerri is based in our Haverhill office in the Family Department.
Paul Cammiss is a retired Partner and longest serving member of the firm having joined Adams and Land in 1971. He qualified as a solicitor in 1973. Over the years he has practiced in many areas of the law but now concentrates on Criminal Litigation, General Litigation and Family work regularly appearing as an advocate in magistrates and County Courts across East Anglia.
Anton Bilinski joined the firm in 2001 as a trainee working within the Litigation Department. He carried out his training and examinations whilst working full time and gained fellowship to the Institute of Legal Executives (now Chartered Institute of Legal Executives) in 2010.
